Together with Yasmin from Stip Werkt, I facilitated a creative, playful workshop following Heat Action Day (which was on 2 June) at the HefHouse in Rotterdam right at the Hef Bridge (great location!).

“Make Your Own Cooling Corner: Clay Pot Lab”.

We discussed with participants what to do during a heat wave and we all worked on a little experiment with clay pots which are mini cooling power houses. Because of their porose material, water evaporates which creates a cooling effect.

We playfully tested conditions such as dry versus wet pots, adding wet towels and wind, measured temperatures and investigated: What does that do to the temperature and why?

We had very curious and engaged young folks joining us!
